Comparison

Cafeity vs Shotsy vs MeAgain: which GLP-1 tracker fits you?

Three of the GLP-1 trackers people most often weigh up, compared feature by feature from their own App Store listings. Each is built around a different idea of what a tracker is for, so the right one depends on what you want it to do — and none of them is right for everyone.

The short answer

  • Choose Shotsy if you want the lowest yearly price of the three, the app in your own language (its listing names 17), and your data kept on your device and in your own iCloud.
  • Choose MeAgain if you want progress photos, a companion character and planning features, or you use an older iPhone (it supports iOS 16.4 and later).
  • Choose Cafeity if you want a one-page Visit Summary for your prescriber, no tracking or ads, symptoms and bowel changes in your own words, and an app that never comments on doses or interprets symptoms and can hide weight numbers.

Where Shotsy is ahead

Price and reach. Shotsy's yearly plans start at $39.99 against Cafeity's $79.99, it is available in 17 languages, and it tracks several medicines with separate schedules. Its listing says your data is stored on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud, and its App Store privacy label declares no tracking and no data linked to your identity — a strong privacy position on paper.

Where MeAgain is ahead

Breadth and personality. MeAgain combines food logging by photo, barcode and search with progress photos, "Journey Cards", widgets and a companion character, and it runs on iPhones back to iOS 16.4. If you want an app that plans with you and keeps you company, it leans further that way than either of the others.

Where Cafeity is different

Cafeity is built as a record for your prescriber rather than a coach. The Visit Summary turns any period of your log into one page; Ora describes your own record and every number it states is calculated from what you logged; and the app will never recommend or adjust a dose or interpret a symptom. Weight can be shown as a trend or with the numbers hidden, streaks are optional, and it uses generic medicine names only. Your health data is never used for advertising or tracking, and there are no ad or attribution SDKs in the app.

How to choose

  • If cost decides it, compare yearly plans: Shotsy's start lowest. All three are free to download.
  • If your appointments are the point, look at what each app hands your prescriber. Cafeity's Visit Summary is one page you control.
  • If privacy decides it, read each App Store privacy label and privacy policy yourself. Shotsy's label declares no tracking and no linked data; MeAgain's declares tracking; Cafeity declares no tracking and keeps your log in your own account.
  • If you want photos and motivation, MeAgain does the most.
  • If you are moving between apps, export first: see how to export your GLP-1 logs.
