Comparison
Cafeity compared with MyFitnessPal
MyFitnessPal is a nutrition tracker with an enormous food database and years of refinement behind it. Cafeity is not competing with it on food logging — it is answering a different question, and the difference comes down to what happens when appetite falls away.
Where MyFitnessPal is ahead
On its own ground, MyFitnessPal is very hard to beat. Its food database is one of the largest in existence and its logging has been refined over more than a decade. If food logging is the whole of what you need, it is a reasonable answer.
Side by side
| Cafeity | MyFitnessPal | |
|---|---|---|
| Built around | The medication cycle: doses first, everything else placed against them. | Calories and macros, for general health and fitness goals. |
| Headline figure | Protein derived from body weight, because lean mass is the stated concern. | Calorie and macro targets. |
| Dose record | Date, time, amount, medication label and injection site, with an estimated level across the week. | Not part of its stated positioning as a nutrition tracker. |
| Symptoms | Logged with your own severity rating, on the same timeline as doses and meals. | Not part of its stated positioning. |
| Calorie floor | Hard limit at 1,200 kcal, and no weight goal below a BMI of 18.5. | Refer to their current in-app behaviour. |
| Food database size | Smaller, and offline on the device. | Very large, and a genuine strength. |
Why calorie-first stops working
A calorie counter is built on the assumption that the difficulty is eating less. On a GLP-1 that assumption inverts: intake often falls without much effort, and the awkward question becomes whether the small amount you did eat contained enough protein and fibre, and whether you drank anything. A tool aimed at restriction has little to say about that, and can quietly reward a day that was not actually a good one.
Context the food log cannot supply
Two identical days of eating mean different things on day two of a cycle and day six of it. Without a dose record on the same timeline, a food log records what happened but not the circumstance that explains it — which is most of what makes the record useful at an appointment.
What Cafeity does not claim
It does not have a bigger food database, it is not on Android, and it has not launched. If your priority is the deepest possible food catalogue, that is a fair reason to choose otherwise.
Using both is reasonable
Some people log food where the database is best and keep the medication record separately. Cafeity exports everything in one file, so nothing you log here is trapped.
Where these claims come from

- Describes itself as “the #1 nutrition tracking app”, positioned around a macro and calorie calculator, food tracker and fasting app.

What Cafeity actually records
- GLP-1 dose tracker — Every dose, with the date, the amount and the site, and the week it produced.
- GLP-1 side effect tracker — What you felt, when, and how strongly — recorded on the same timeline as your doses.
- GLP-1 weight tracker — Weight as a trend rather than a daily verdict, in the context of the cycle.
- GLP-1 protein tracker — Protein-first food logging for a smaller appetite, with fibre and hydration alongside.
- Injection site tracker — A body map that shows where the last few went, so rotation is visible not remembered.
